We should compare our specs for the 64 3000+ and compare!

Mine:
64 3000+ 2400Mhz (10 x 240) @ 1.65V
Gigabyte K8NS Pro 250
1024 DDR400 (512 x2) Corsair @ 189.2Mhz (389.4Mhz)

64 3000+ 2400mhz (10x240) @ 1.55v
Gigabyte K8NSNXP
1024 DDR333 (512 x2) Kingston @ ?? Someone wanna fill me in on forumla?

I'm burning this set up in now, but I do know, 10x235 @ 1.55 V.
Is rock solid stable.

Sure Guns22.....

You are running PC2700 ram (DDR333). This is basically set up for 166Mhz x 2 = 333. On your motherboard you can change the FSB/Ram divider to 200:166. This will enable you to push your FSB higher in order to still max out your memory and run stable. After you do this, run CPU-Z and find out what speed your memory is running at. Multiply that by 2 and you have your total memory frequency.

Also, you may need to increase the voltage of your memory +0.1 to achieve a slightly higher rate of 170 or 175Mhz which may be feasable.

Yeah, i've got voltage at +.2

Ram couldn't handle it anymore at 2.36, so someone told me to drop the ram down to 133. But after that i wasnt sure how to find out how it was running, thanks for filling me in.

I just downloaded CPU-Z, and it doesnt show my ram stuff, its all grayed out. ?

I apologize for hijacking thread in anyway.

I should look similar to this....

If not, well have to try something else.

Wow, i cant imagine why in the world that would be. Ill do some research and see what i can find out for you....

Do you have the latest BIOS installed?

Odd, It seems to work abotu 50% of the time. Every other time i open program.

Its running at 320mhz.
Since i've already hijacked thread, could you give me a quick run down on ram timings?

Athlon64 3000+ retail "CG" stepping
Chaintech VNF3-250 w/ 7/29 BIOS
(2) sticks Kingmax PC3500 1gb total
water cooled

This cpu does 2.5ghz straight out of the box at a core voltage of 1.6v in the BIOS. It would load windows at stock vcore (1.55v) but failed at Prime95, but was stable in games. Upping the vcore cured that issue and Prime95 runs non-stop with no round off errors. GREAT system and very fast...

:burn:

Help me out here I have the 3200+ and didn't want to have to start a new thread when my question is so close to being answered here. I am running pc2700 ram also and was wanting to do some o/c but thought I had to have at least pc3200 to do so. I have the Asus K8V SE Deluxe so it does not have AGP/PCI locks is there anything I can do to o/c with the memory I have with out damaging any of my other cards. Sorry if this is another hijack of the thread but it is kinda on the same topic.

Just drop the ram and run Async - it really doesn't decrease performance all that much on Athlon 64s.

That was with a gig of old micron PC2100 btw ;p Hahah.. Sure need to upgrade my memory.

That's next on the list anyways ;p

Nice score Tegar....what kind of MOBO are you running? I wasnt aware that the FSB would go up to 260, i thought mine was limited to 250, but then again, i never tried.

Athlon 64 CG 3000

I don't guess I am following I don't have a way to raise that HTT number in CPU-Z it is always at 200 no matter what I change my memory is running at 129mhz :/
