Network card mod

I just completed what i think is the coolest mod in my case, I wired up the lights from my network card to the front.

The two lights on the back of my card show power/transmit, and link/recieve. The lights went in the holes for the old power ant turbo lights wich are long gone (Old AT case) With the hard drive light just under it, the 3 red lights look really cool when all of them are flashing away, like when downloading an mp3 for example.

I know it's not much but it's really fun to do, and looks cool

it's actually really easy. all i did was desolder the lights on the back of my nic, then soldered in a chunk of phone cable(Only because it was 4 conductors, anything will work) Then i ran the cable to the front of my case, and attached some leds to the end of the cable. i tried leaving the lights on the back, but the voltage requirements were too great and all the leds went off when both tried to go on. btw, they weree just plain 5 volt leds. i chose little red ones to match the rest of my case, but i also tried big green ones with no problem.

Might want to work out a way to remove them easily, should the need arise.
