My friend game me a Toshiba satellite 1555cd

And he said that it only gets power if you jiggle the plug.
So i tried it and nothing happend.

So I opened it up and the power jack was all loose I pulled it out and under it the
Motherboard looked really weird.
I attached a photo of what it looked like.(mobo640)

Can this still work if I use alot of solder or something to that effect?

I attached a photo of the power plug also (toshiba)

thanx

I'd say your pretty well fried there. It burned straight through, and whatever traces are there, are probably pretty well gone. I mean you could try to solder it, but probably would work spotty at best.

Thanx for the answers.

do you know any website that will explaine how to solder?
I'v never done it before.

Thanx

OK, here's what to do. Get an exacto knife and carefully scrape away the green coating over the copper tracts that the plug connected to. After that, just get some wire, and solder the correct traces to where they go on the plug. I've fixed my PSX and PS2 this way before. Really easy, and it's quite reliahble to.
