Exclamation GA7N400-L 195 FSB Limit?!

I have a GA7N400-L board and I am in the process of learning how to overclock my Barton 2500 with it. I want to get my fsb to 200 but I max out at 197 before windows will start, but crash once it gets about 15 seconds in. What is my next step? I thought about upping the vcore but it is already at 1.7 and I also thought about raising the volts on my RAM. Maybe more cooling on the Northbridge? What do you guys think I should do?

Well Sparkle PSU are good but 300W is on the low side when trying to OC, could well be your problem. Is there any way you can borrow a larger PSU, around 450W???
Have you tried increasing the vCore by a 5%? Also most DDR needs 2.7v so if yours is lower give that a go.

I don't really have anyone that I could borrow a psu from but I have been looking at some new ones because when I got mine from newegg the fan never worked on it. I need to RMA it. I tried increasing the vCore last week but I never saw any bump up in voltage on my easy tune info after I did, so I don't know what happened there. Regaurdless it did'nt work. I am gonna check on the DDR voltage right now and I'll get back to ya.

I have the same board as you mate,
Max the Vcore and Ram Voltage, I have done this and sit now @210fsb Fully stable.
If that don't work then hood is right psu

Also grab CPU-Z and MBM5.
Did you control F1 when going into the bios setting for extra settings

I've got the same board only with the 2600 mobile and I couldn't hit 200 either. In fact for some reason, it locks up/restarts at the 166 setting in the bios

Do you guys have the little CLK switch down below the CPU on (AUTO) or off (100mhz)?

Right now, it's perfectly stable (knock on wood) at teh 16.5 X 133. I'm running 2 512 sticks of kingston hyperX 3200. My MBM display is below so you guys can suggest an increase or decrease of any voltages.

Oh, AMD_KICK_ARSE, what's the ctrl F1 let you do?

Also, with the same cpu and HSF earlier, my abit board was saying the idle cpu speed was like 33*C. What's up with the Gigabyte reading up at 50*C ???
