I want to remove the crappy black heatsink from my new 9700pro. Unlike my previous nvidia card, the pins holding it on are impossible to manage. I don't want to cut them, so how do I take them out?

needle nose pliers..... you should be able to squeeze the pins and take them off..... I remember when I took mine off I had to use a little elbow grease.... just take your time and you should be o.k.

pull on the smaller knobby part on the front of the clips, it should come out like a pin, then you can squeeze the little parts on the back of the card and pop it off. i know nvidia cards dont have the pin, ati's usually do

like that, only you dont really need the pliers to get the little pin part out.

Oh, ok. Thanks! Before I was trying to remove the pins like nvidia ones.
