Knoppix hard drive scanning

i ahve been ahaving problems with my harddrive so i booted with knoppix this is my first time using it and i cant seem to find any hard drive diagnostics or anything like that can someone help me

What is it you'd like to do exactly? You can access the files and copy them to another drive or onto your network. You can resize partitions without dataloss, or create new ones.

I heard of some hard drive diagnostics on knoppix i wish to run them on my drive to check if its failing

It would be better to get the diagnostics from your hdd manufacturer (usually on a DOS bootable floppy).
