I just upgraded from a Geforce 2 GTS to a Radeon 9700 Pro. I did a fresh install of windows xp and I am currently using the 4.8 catalyst drivers. I installed the 4.9s the first time around. I was having problems with games, direct x 9 in particular. What happens is the images on the screen change from my desktop resolution and go to 800x600 and shift to the lower right hand side of the screen in all the menu screens for the games. It also happens on the desktop if I have it set to 800x600. That as far as I know is the only resolution affected. If anyone has any experience with this problem PLEASE help me. I bought my card from cnetpc.com if that helps too.
