My Windows hangs on xmasbus.sys!!!!!

I try to boot windows and it hangs after the loading screen on a black screen. so i try to run in safe mode and it hangs while trying to load xmasbus.sys. i try to run a windows repair and it hangs when i select the Hard Drive installation. so i try to install a fresh copy of windows and it hangs when trying to install!!!!!! HELP!!!!

is your cd scratched or anything?

if not might be a bad cd-rom or hard drive could be going bad...

wouldnt know because i cant get into windows. and besides its a laptop and the only thing i can think of is taking of the cd rom
