will my mobile at 2650 be able to keep up with my x800 pro at lower resolutions?

not too worried about 1600 x 1200 as i know the card will choke a bit there.

probably depends on the game of course, but might sway me to go with a cheap 754 system.

thanks!

I'm kinda wondering just what you have now?

anyway, you'll be quite happy with the x800pro, and I don't think you'll be too CPU limited...if that's what your thinking.

I'm playing my games at mostly 1280x1024 with 2xAA(sometimes even 4xAA) and 8xAF...
I'm quite sure that I can play most games at 1600x1200 if I lower the AA setting.
(I only have a 17" monitor, so max res is only 1280x1024)

thanks for the reply! i currently have a radeon 8500le 64 mb. :(

so the x800 pro will be very welcomed, and of course the price was right.

anyone else have any input as to my original question? anyone else with a mobile at about 2600 and an x800?

thanks.

you'll be just fine for gaming...I had a 2500+ cpu that was oc'd to 1933MHz and it did fine with the x800...it was more of a bottleneck than my A64, but that's ok. It still did wonderful, and you're sitting at 2.6GHz on an XP, so I think you'll be fine, should do as well as my A64 at 2.3GHz.

excellent, not regretting my x800 pro for 355 USD shipped

good bye to my 8500le
