Question Xp-90 and MSI

Has anyone tried to put a xp 90 h/s on a MSI|875P NEO-FISR board or similar? Or does anyone know about the campatibility...I read on thermalright's website that they "believe the xp 90 will fit most every mobo", but then i saw a review and they acted as if it were big and could possibly not fit many boards

thanks

"Hi Brandon,

Sorry. XP-120 will not fit MSI K8N Neo Platinum. :-((

There is a capacitor in between K8 rentention and AGP that interferes with the heatpipe loop of XP-120.

Would you care for a XP-90 which has no mechanical issues at all with K8 boards.

thank you for taking interest in Thermalright products!

Thermalright,

Chris Lee"

It will work

It's nice and purty. An oh yes yes it does fit oh baby.

I just installed an xp90 couple days ago on a 754 msi neo platnium mobo. I upgraded to 64 bit,so I said hey lets get this hs. Because I like how thermalright hs look and the clip on fan design.

When I first got it I was like WOW this is big and reminded me of the starship enterprise. But it was friggin light as heck like a can of dr pepper. Good thing I didn't get xp 120.

I just followed the instructions on installing it,since I never install these type of heatsinks.
I removed my memory from slot 1 before installing though. It made it easier for me. But note after it's install you can use slot 1 2 3 without any problems on this board.Hooked up the retention module.
Also I think I hooked this thing up right? Because, it wasn't going to fit the other way since the extension of the hs would hit the videocard cooler.
Fans are a easy to switch off.
