Hot glue to mount fan over ram

Hi all,

After reading a few posts in this forum, I am thinking of using hot glue to mount a 120mm Sanyo Denki fan over my 3700EB ram (2x512). I'm wondering if the bond will be strong enough, and if it will come off the stock heatspreaders pretty easy.

Any thoughts ?

err... depends. It CAN hold but if the hot glue heats back up..... it turns back into liquid glue and it won't hold anything until it cools back down. Just use super glue and don't worry about it better yet. Mount a fixtures off the case if you can to screw the fan in.

Hot glue will work just fine. This is exactly what I do (even used a 120mm Sanyo ) If your RAM gets hot enough to melt hot glue you got lots worse problems than your fan coming loose.

So crazy glue is perfectly fine for keeping a fan onto a heatsink?
