Far Cry problem

I'm having a problem with artifacts in the game. The video card is a 6800 with the newest drivers. I tried reinstalling the game but that didn't help. I did overclock the card some when I first got it but now it is back to stock. No other game has this problem. Artifacts are usually associated with ram right? Could I have messed something up by trying to overclock it? Farcry is running 1.1 patch. Anybody else had this problem?

Try patch 1.2...I don't use Nvidia card therefore I don't really know why...

Artifact can happen several ways:

1) either GPU or VRAM or both are too hot.

2) either GPU or VRAM or both are defective.

3) not enough Vcore or VDimm or both for the card.
