Whenever my fridge turns on (or anything other major appliance), my speakers (all 5) generates this boom sound for like 1/5 of a second. My fridge is plugged into the wall and my speakers are plugged into a surge protector (http://www.mycableshop.com/sku/P-SP700B.htm). Is there anything I can do that does not involve rewiring the house? (not like I can since I live in an apartment) Would an UPS do it?

Edit: I'm thinking about getting this (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProd...t_Id=&Section_Id=76&pcount=&Product_Id=171837)
if a UPS would solve my problems. Using the 50% off coupon of course. :D

That ups might fix the problem, and it might be worth a shot. Even if it doesnt work in fixing the pop problem, you could use it for battery backup on a PC.
