Best Antec Aria SFF CPU cooler?

Hey everyone out there with air cooling, I need some help finding the best cooler for a P4 in a Antec Aria it is a small form factor so not ever cooler will fit in it.

Swiftech MCX478-V for Intel™ Socket 478 here is one block that I have always liked but am not sure if it will fit with a fan.

Spire CoolWave for P4 one more great block I have found but not sure on it.

or the Zalman line of products name the best one to use please.

Thanks to anyone that has any good ideas and suggestions.

It's hard to tell what will fit from the pictures on Antec's site. Because of where the PSU and CD drive sit, it looks like you should look for a sink that's no more than 2.5" from the mechanical drawing they have.

Hey I'm in the same boat. I'm building an ARIA system for my little bro for christmas and I'm trying to find a decent A64/LGA775 HSF that will fit.

So far, I found this.

http://www.silentpcreview.com/article146-page1.html

He installed a Zalman 6500CU in it and it cleared teh PSU just fine.

I'd still be interested if there are any more selections. Drilling an 80mm fan on each side of the case and perhaps even a 92mm SUCKhole in the top hasn't been ruled out but I know that'll just add to the noise.

The Zalman 7700Cu is the best Zalman cooler, but I'm not sure if it'll fit in that case. It's relatively low profile (short), but it's got a huge circumference.

Nope it is the CNPS7000A-AlCu But it is nice and you can see I get great cooling with it, I don't think the 120mm 7700CU would fit

No most of them are 2048x1536.
Are there holes in the bottom of the PSU?

Im soon planning to upgrade my Spark7 to a 7000B in my barebone, and I hope it fits as good as it did in yours.

is the only difference between the 7000a and 7000b the material?? I am SSOO close to ordering one of these aria cases and I want to make sure what I buy will fit. By the way, I am currently using the SLK947U with an 80mm smart fanII. From their website, the 947U is 45mm high without fan and the alx800 (which I already know fits in this case) is 42mm high. Is this that big of a deal? It is difficult to see how these will fit together. I will probably install somekind of ducting since I know the fan won't fit on it, but maybe the heatsink will clear...

You could try making fan blow from one side to other, or something like that.
Differences between 7000A and B are cosmetic. Basically it's the same cooler.
Anyway, ducting so small case would give impressive results in my opinion. For example, put nice fan on side and duct thing to Zalman cooler or Thermalright heatsink.

Ripley, most of your pics is over 1.2MB. Use Paint to open them then "save as" with diff name like "pic1.jpg". The size will be reduced ALOT.

I might have to look into that. Using Pricewatch for my search, I found the Aria and the Biostar M7NCG 400 from Ewiz.com for about $155 with free shipping (you have to use the link from Pricewatch though). I am pondering buying the 7000B Zalman cooler with this, but I would love to just use my existing hardware.

just FYI, that zalamn is 62mm height. So if you can get a slim fan on your Thermalright then it will fit.

I made the pictures smaller but I did not make them much smaller and did not change the BITrate size. so answer all the questions: there is alot more room in that case then it looks in pics and well i think you can fit just about anything in there if i can fit a Zalman in there . Well good luck to all you building one, I love mine and I just put in a X800XT PE to speed it up more so. PS i will try to do something about the pics i just dont have lots of time.

if you want extreme low profile, check this one out:

http://www.directron.com/cooler478l.html

its made by PC P&C, they make the best PSU known to man... so its gotta be pretty decent at the very least

for added boost if you have room, just pick up a fan that pushes more air (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...999-106&depa=0)

but it isnt made for overclocking or anything of that nature... so you get the idea

otherwise, if you have the room, get a zalman "flower" cooler

I did lots to my site so have a new look and I will get new benches for it once I get the X800XT PE all worked in and tweaked out. wish me luckie.

PS extreme low profile, and a 100*F+++ CPU but maybe it would be ok, worth a try but I am good with my Zalman

CRAP!!! I just found out I can't use my SLK-947U because it uses the mounting holes on the motherboard which the Biostar doesn't have Now I have to revamp my entire case design. :

Ripley, is there anyway you can do me a HUGE favor? I need you to measure where the socket is on that motherboard. The Biostar site doesn't give dimensions. Thanks in advance!!

How did you get that Zalman to fit on the Biostar board? Your pics seem to indicate that the heatsink can clip to the cpu socket, but the zalman website shows them using some strange bracketry to attach the heatsink through the 4 mounting holes which this board doesn't have. Is it possible you have a different version or something?
