I have been scouring forums latley looking for the live drive IO panel with remote for my audigy 2 zs. My question is can I use the Live drive from say the SB Live 5.1 platinum with my audigy 2?

Audigy 2 and SB Live 5.1 Live drives?

No you can't....something is different about then but I couldn't tell you what. Someone else will probably know, if it matters.

the Audigy 2 ZS with the "live drive" is called the Platinum
it has full MIDI, S/PDIF, RCA and Headphone ports
along with IR and volume controls for the headphones (oh, i forgot it's mic input)
it also struts an IEEE 1394 Firewire port, connected into the Audigy 2 ZS
you cannot buy this I/O panel anymore, at least that I have seen on creative's site
the SB Live 5.1 is a different card all together
i don't know of it supporting firewire at all...if you want that IR feature your going to need the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
if your have a sound card with a remote, it'll need to be in there
since it sounds like you have a pair of creative cards, you just put both of em in there and have the remote plus dual outputs
