I want to start this for people to rate their Barton core (doesn't matter what version 3000+, 3200+, etc.) I just wanna see what everyone else's numbers are. Make sure to put down your hardware as well (cpu (duh!), mobo, ram, etc.)

I have a XP 3000+ at 14x165 running 2.3ghz with pc2700 RAM (hoping to upgrade my ram to push my cpu even further). My voltages are pretty much at their peak Vcore - 1.775 Vdimm - 2.2. But hey, it's stable! :D

I give my 2600+ M:

(8.5/10)

It does almost what I want it to, it just uses a little too much voltage for my tastes. Its max is a solid 262 x 10 @ 1.825v. For reasons beyond my control (the hell inferno known as florida) Im forced to use 1.7v until I get better cooling.

At 1.7v I am stable at 254 x 10

As a PR rating I would consider mine a solid 3700+ (against both P4s and A64s) The high clock speed and bus really help out alot.

I would say my 2600+M is 9 out of ten, it actaully requires less voltage to obtain the same results as my 2500+m did, I am @ 2672 222x12 with 1.7 volts watercooled using my Nf7-s and Hyper X pc3500 2-3-3-11, can't wait to upgrade my video card to a 9800pro or better:)

Wow... you guys have my butt kicked. But for the gear I have, is 2.31 good? I mean, at this point I am sure it is just my RAM holding me back. I am almost positive I can push this thing to around 2.45ghz but I need faster ram. you think upping the Vdimm a little more would help or am I maxed out? if you could look at my hardware and give me some suggestions, I would really appreciate it. I am rock-solid-stable now. quite unstable at 13.5x169 and VERY unstable (barely booted to windows) at 14x167. I don't feel safe running it at 14x166 because it blue screens occasionally. Help me out here.

I give my Desktop, unlocked 2500 a 4 out of 10. It could only hit 2.2ghz, and that took 1.75v, no amount of voltage up to 1.85v would get it higher. That was on my old A7N8X 2.0, which is now in a different box, running at stock because of bad case cooling issues.

I have a desktop barton, old school, unlocked.. (will get the codes later).

Runs at 2.2Ghz stock everything, on a POS HSF, so I like it alot. With some more cooling I will push this thing.

So I give it 8/10
The improvements would be less voltage usage (ie a mobile chip)

9mm- mine is an unlocked ('old school') cpu as well. Have you tried pushing it further? I am only using air cooling but I have 7 case fans... (don't ask - it runs under load at only 42 C though!) Anyways, let me know your numbers... and is it a 2800+, 2500+???? what version?

oh yeah its a 2500.

stepping is on the CPU, I dont think I wrote it down anywhere

So I will have to open er up and get the code.

And I haven't tried pushing it further, always been buried in a game.
My OC took me a whole 5 minutes to do. And I have been 'testing' stability for about a year now with it, with apps like BF1942 and Doom3.

Lower your multiplier and raise your FSB, that 2700 ram should do 185ish easily.

On that not I have a locked 2800+ running at 193x12.5(2416mhz) with PC2700 ram and 1.700 volts, it Idles at about 34 on air.

I'd give it a 9/10 because I know the Core will go further but the ram is holding me back.

2600+m IQYHA 0402 SPMW 2.5ghz 1.65v (by far the best oc, used less voltage)
2600+m AQYHA 0431 APDW 2.5ghz 1.7v (good oc but uses more voltage)
2600+m IQYFA 0350 MPMW 2.5ghz 1.7v (crap oc can't take high fsb)

All the them on an NF7-S, the last two mobiles used my current ram and the first one was 512mb Mushkin and Kingmax.

do you think it would do me any good to lower my multi to 13.5 and run my FSB at 169/170? do you think it would be stable? The clock comes out lower then what I have now but you guys are sayin that raising the FSB is better then raising the multi. True????? Help me out.

I've got an unlocked 2800+ that I was very happy with untill these mobiles started showing up and making me jealous.

I'd give it a 7/10 now, it's still a pretty good chip.

I haven't convinced it to run stable at 2.4 yet, so I usually run it around 206*11.5 = ~2370mhz. It takes 1.8V and watercooling to do this.

Yes, the higher the Fsb the faster your system will be at a given speed.

Mobile 2600 @ 2.64 (12x220) on air cooling, fairly quiet at that - fastest fan is a 3000rpm 80mm on the heatsink. See the sig for details.

9/10 I have been more than happy with the chip, its fast as a 3.7-3.8 Ghz P4 and a lot cheaper

Alright... just got home from work, booted 'er up and set her to 12x195... running stable. I am thinking about pushing her further... think it'll happen?

I think your memory will be your limiting factor, if it becomes unstable up the memory voltage and try to stabalize it, or loosen the timings.

I have 2 bartons.

Locked desktop xp 2600 [I'd rather it was a 2500.] (3/10)

xp-m 2600 @ 2.5GHz 12.5x200 using only 1.65v (stock for desk top) great chip.
IQYHA 0352 really cant ask for much better than this one. It will do 2.62 at 1.725v (though I dont know if that is completely prime stable, should be since I stopped the test after a few hours. 1.75v is completely prime stable) This guy probably can do 2.7.

Running on Asus A7N8X Deluxe 2.0 (I got it cheap.) with 1GB of Buffalo PC3200 CH-5 2-3-2-8. I hear 2-3-2-11 is better. May try that one of these days.
This one gets a 9/10.

I had a locked desktop 2600+. Had it running at 203*11.5 at 1.9V which wasn't too bad, but having a locked chip definitely sucked, looking back. 5/10

Now I have a mobile 2600 IQYHA 0352 at 250*10, 1.825V. All of that is on a NF7-S with a lapped NB and vdd volt mod to get me past my 240 wall. L12 modded of course. This is an awesome chip, and definitely rates a high score. I've only had these two chips, so out of the two that I've owned 10/10.
