sorry I'm newb at OC, but what is artifact when people benching??

when an video card over heatz (usaully from oc'ing) it show "articacts" or mis generated images instead of a nice clear visual.... ex: when playin doom 3 u see stripess on the floor.

... or multicolored snow like when a tv antenna is not working properly.... And all kind of strange image errors. You'll know when yo see them!

The most common are either white specks (from memory) or weird lines on the screen (gpu). Some more bizarre ones I have seen include wierd red, green and blue balls of light that hang in an area.
