For some reason... my Sapphire 9600XT 256 memory came running at 249mhz instead of 300.. and i've heard that this card can get up to 570 core OC and 346 for the memory..

but my card can barely get above 300mhz for the memory and 500 for core... Is my card defective? i just ordered it from newegg. it was a Bulk Part.
You might have gotten a souped up version of a lower card.
Give the link to what card you got.

Could just be bad memory.

urr i have the same card, but made by celestica and a 128 mb version. don't fret too much about the bad oc, mine only gets to aiw speeds (525/325) with a pci fan mod... even tho my idle after heavy use is like 31. sometimes you just get bad results from cards, everycard is different.

oh yeah, don't expect to get insane ocs unless you have super cooling

If I had your RAM.......Boy!

Not all cards are good overclockers, that's about al I can say to that. You can do like some, and just return it for something else or try your luck in getting one that does overclock well.:(

I bet when I get my card back, it will not do 600/440....Nor will I try, LOL!
