Sweet! I finally got Linux to work on my old, beat-up k6-2 300! After trying Mandrake 8.0, and having no luck with either of the ethernet cards I've got, I switched to Red Hat 7.1 and everything works. For now at least. I'm calling this box the Mystery Machine because I fried a chip on this motherboard(an Iwill xa100+ if you must know) and it has been incredibly flakey since. Only one of the RAM slots still works(64 megs, but soon to be 256), A few ISA slots no longer work, but I've got PCI's and at least it works. I'm just so happy that I thought I'd share my joy with the rest everyone here!
I'm sure you'll all be hearing(questions) from me again soon.
