xp-120 and p4c800e dlx

I have looked at getting the xp-120 for my 2.8 on my asus p4c-800e deluxe. I have read the info sheet at thermalright but I am somewhat worried about having to tilt my caps so the thing will fit. Does anybody here have any pics of how much tilting is necessary? I would perfer not buying this heatsink if I couldn't use it.

thanks

Hi, i have an xp120 and an ASus P4C800 E dlx.

Go to:http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.p...7&page=4&pp=30

post 107 for pics of the heatsink on the mobo.

I Couldnt get the heatsink to sit the other way (cause I wasnt about to start bending caps... they seem really tight on the mobo, and I felt that if I bent them to what would be necessary, then they would break off...
But the way I have them now is perfectly fine.

I also was afraid to tilt the caps so I mounted the xp-120 the other way, however the northbridge was a little in the way. So I removed the northbridge (and removed the old thermal junk that was on it), and then mounted the XP-120. I had to bend a fin of the northbridge slightly to get one of the heat pipes between the cooler fins, and probably shifted the northbridge slightly from the original position. I'd show a picture but I don't know how to post pictures to the forums.

I have the XP 120 and the Deluxe board as well and did the same as above but I did not have to bend anything.
