I just recently bought an 8500 AIW from someone online. I got all the hardware it came with originally but he didnt have any of the software/hardware... which is fine I can download it.
Before I installed anything I went ahead and did a fresh install of Windows 2000 SP3. Then I installed SP4 and DX9C.
Well... then I installed the latest Omega Drivers with 4.10 CAT's I think it is, after the restart it will spam like 8 unknown devices and cant find the drivers for it, but, everything seems to be fine other than that.
Next I checked on ATI's website what stuff I needed to use the TV Tuner and all that. So I go to ATI's website and find the stuff I need to get the Multimedia Center running:
http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html
Well I install everything with no problems and then I try to run the TV part of the package and it gives an error: "The TV Player failed to initialize the video" ... it says to check Device Manager for anything not properly installed... well the only thing in DM not installed are the 8 or so "unknown devices" I mentioned earlier... it says I can run some PC Help Check thing to check for problems... so I click the button to try and run that and it generates an error and crashes.
This is actually the first ATI card I've ever used and being that its an AIW I'm in over my head I guess... I dont really know what to try next.
Thanks for any help.
