Hydor L20 phantom impeller housing leak

There doesnt seem to be a lot of documentation on L20 leak problems, however the stock L20 that i just recieved leaks at the large O-ring for the impeller housing. It is a MAJOR leak, itll drain 10 ft of tygon in 30 seconds. Yes i lined the tabs up and have the aqua plastic retention piece affixed, but it still leaks no matter how carefully i set it

should i go to home depot and get a beefier replacement o ring, or should i go to extremes and jbweld? for this sort of effort, i should have just bought a mag 3.

never heard of a leak like that before .
is the oring the correct size?

is there a crack in the pump housing?

maybe you should RMA it ( sounds like a legit rma issue to me)

Yep exchange it. For a Mag 3 and buy some RTV sealant while you're at it.
