Firstly, i would like to say hi to everyone, cuz im new here and im new in overlocking :). And here is a deal. I have Saphhire Radeon 9600XT 128MB 128bit (500/300) with stock cooling, Omega's newest drivers. Well i saw on forums that ppl can overlock it to smth like ~560/340 with stock cooling, but when i set the core clock higher that 520 i begin to see artifacts or my monitor turns off :bang head . So WTF? What im doing wrong? btw for oc'ing i use the newest version of Ati Tool and all drivers are updated.

Well everyones cards are different and will overclock more or less. Maybe they have better case cooling.

I dont think that temperature is the problem. Here is a log from ATI Tool:

When gaming the temperature is really >45C. So smth other is bad

Are you OCing both core and memory at the same time? If so, try OCing one at a time. Core seems to be the one that helps the most. OC the core until you see artifacts, then back off a bit.

Then OC your memory in the same fashion. If you still get the same results, you may have to get better cooling to OC higher. Just cuz everyone else could do it doesnt mean you can. Keep that in mind, all hardware is different.

Also, make sure you have cooling for your memory. I have never been able to get anything worth while out of memory until heatsinks were applied.

ahh good, its good knowing that the sapphire 9600xt also ocs like crap. don't worry, i have a celestica 9600xt, and it ocs just as crappily as urs
