How to Test if AGP slot is getting voltage

What would I need to do this other than a multimeter and my mobo? Would the mobo have to be powered?

If any older video card like nVidia ti series runs in the slot then its getting power as it won't run with-out it. Newer cards like your 6800GT that require an extra molex will be required to be set to 4X on some older boards as their AGP slots while 8X are not compliant with the newer 8x - .8V & can only supply 1.5V
