Hi there guys

Please help if you can?

My mate has a ABIT AN7 m/board with a athlon xp 2600 chip (166 FSB)

He aslo has some Corsair TwinX DDR3200LLPT (2 x 512) Ram

But i cant get it to run @ DDR 400 ???? its only runing @ DDR333.

The Bois Dram ratio settings are @ auto... I set them up to SDP and it wouldnt post into windows..

Ive got the dram timmings to 2.2.2.5.

is it because the chip is only running @ 166 fsb ?????????...

WILL IT RUN @ DDR 400????

and what are these chips like @ overclocking??....

Kind Regards

AMD XP processors like to be run IN-sync with the memory. I've read this MANY times. You should run the CPU and memory at the same speed. Performance is WORSE id you run the ram at anything other than what the CPU fsb is set at. IF the CPU is unlocked, try 200X9 then 9.5....etc to find the CPU limit. IF its LOCKED it will be Very hard to run at 200 fsb because of the HIGH multiplier on the 2100 cpu
