Alright, so the FX series can run its memory in dual-channel mode, right? thats the only difference between the 4000+ and the FX-53, correct... and the only difference between an FX-53 and an FX-55 is the higher clock speed...

Obviously the FX-55 is the best, but how would the others compare if they were overclocked?

All socket 939 and 940 pin cpus are dual channel. The thing with the FX processors, aside from bragging rights, are that all available multipliers are locked, and it always boasts the 1mb cache as of yet. I think that is about the only major differences.

The FX-55 is the first AMD cpu using strained silicon technology, this allows for higher transistor switching rates. According to this fact, I'd say the FX-55 will the best performer, even when all three are overclocked, the FX-55 should keep ahead. :)
