Has anyone heard of hiper psu's? I've seen them around and they seem to be quite popular. Are they anygood?

not bad. About the same as Thermaltake's. Better than generic

Got a Hiper 550W in my rig here:

Dual XP2100+s / 1GB PC2100 RAM / 2 HDDs / 3 Optical Drives / Ti 4200 / few PCI cards.

Rails are:
3.3v @ 3.312
5.0v @ 4.946
12.0v @ 12.282

so it should easily handle 2 opticals, one hard drive, 1gb of ram and a 9800pro.
