I have a custum made ram heat fan useing rubber bands around the clips on the ram and its holding a 80mm fan over 2 sticks of ram and its a little vibrateing, the fan is at like 2100 rpms not alot... and im just not sure if vibration is good or bad for ram, know if it is or isnt? thanks!

the ram module itself won't be hurt but if it does vibrate enough, it's not good for the ram slots. Eventually, vibration usually leads to a bit of extra movement, where the contacts won't be very good.

Best to find a better way to mount the fan over the ram. I would perhaps look at taking a pci slot cover, bending it and attaching the fan to it, then find a way to mount it so it cools the ram.

You might wanna look at placing a thin piece of rubber or whathaveyou (something soft) between the fan edges and the RAM. Good luck.

or you could mount the fan to a drive cage so it's not touching the ram... your drives vibrate anyway, so it probably is safe to add the vibrations of a fan... less extreme solution than gluing anything to the mobo...
