how do i know a bad stick of ram?

how do i know a bad stick of ram?


I have 2 sticks, i put both of them in and the computer freezes in the post screen right after it reads the cpu.. then just hangs there.. i shut down and booted with 1 stick and the thing wouldnt even get to the post screen and it just started beeping at me... this is a bad stick?

To find out if a stick is bad, your going to need a stick that you is in working condition, you put it in and if it still doesn't boot your problem is due to something else.
