Defrag method

I can't seem to get anywhere with a defrag no matter what I do. I just got a new drive, so I was thinking of copying everything to the new drive, then back to the old drive, so it is all written contiguously. What would be the best way to do this?

built in windows defrag is almost pointless.

BEST defrag i have used for windows ever.

I've used this, also O&O, Systerac XP tools, Diskeeper pro, and System Mechanic 5.0. They all do their thing, and then recommend I do it more often/over again. I also only have like 4gigs left on this 40gig drive, so that's part of the problem.
