woo wee! I've been playing around with multipliers some, so I've been trying out 8x. with my pc4000 ram I'm currently doing this:

290ram.jpg
:)
cpuz2323.jpg

whoa! In my opinion, this is really good for 250mhz ram (pc4000). With just 1 stick of 512mb memory, I got 3892mb bandwidth in sandra.

I definetly know what ram i'll be getting more of if I go intel ;)

very nice. Is that with 1T timing?

Your vcore seems rather high. Does your CPU really need it that high to get to 2323mhz?

My asus board won't do over 265 HTT. Even if i drop the LDT to 2x. Pretty sad.

No, sadly it's 2T

My vcore only needs 1.55v (in bios) to do 2.33ghz on 10x multiplier, but with such a high FSB i had to raise it to 1.65v (in bios). on 10x multiplier I can do 2.43ghz on 1.65v, but I can't get this thing past 292FSB.

I'm currently priming @ 290FSB, I tried 1.6v and prime failed in 9 minutes, I've been running it @ 1.65v for 45mins now, going strong. Load hits 65c, but thats what it hit before with stock cooling, I'm not worried at all though, it's actually in the low 50's, chaintech's temp monitor is on crack. I should really get around to building my winter window duct, see some 10c temp drops =P

You should try to lower the memory and raise the multiplyer, so you can get the 1t timming 2t blows chunks. If you get 280MHZ with the 1t timming youre memory bandiwdth will be higher then @ 290mhz 2t. You will be around 4200, and 96% eff over the 3800 and like 85% eff.

edit: i just looked at youre timmings 3-5-5 ?? Thats kinda high isnt it ? does it do 290 @ 3-4-4

Yeah I relize 2T isn't very good, but i can't do 1T on anything it seems like.

3-4-4 is default on my board, so i had to relax the timings a little to hit 40FSB more than the ram's default speed is.

I'll try 9x multiplier @ 260FSB on 1T timing, think that'd be better?

Ok I set it to 9x multiplier, I can't do 1T anything over 250FSB, no matter what voltage or timings. Doing 250FSB and timings of 3-4-4 i'm doing 3825mb (with 1t timing). Man, i wish I could do 280FSB with 1T, i'd get really good bandwidth :(

sorry for triple post, but i'm now priming @ 250FSB 1t timing 9x multiplier, but my timings are now 2.5-4-4!!! Lets hope it's stable.

EDIT : Also running lower vcore too.

Soooo

lower vcore
lower timings
1t over 2t
lower mhz by 50
lower bandwidth by a mere 40mb/s

i think overall it's better though.

definitely better.

at 260, 3-4-4-10-2T, i was getting the same as 237mhz, 3-4-4-10-1T. I can tighten the timings at 237 to 3-3-3-10-1T, so that is where I am staying for now.

just seems more responsive to me at 237.

Looks good, I'm getting 280 with my 2 sticks of Adata 4200. I can benchmark fine at 1T, but in games, they eventually crash, so I have to run 2T. One of these days, I'll pull the second stick to see how high I can go with just one DIMM.
