hd diagnostic cd?

my samsung 160gb has been acting up recently. i've been getting errors and slowdowns from it. before i rma, i just want to check to see if the drive is indeed bad but the hd diagnostic program from samsung can only be used with a floppy, which i don't have. is there a hd diagnostic program that can be used with a cd?

ultimate boot cd gave me a few problems (not all the apps worked for me)

I'm afraid I've to agree with stan03 about the application in the cd. Most of the hardware utility and diganostic utility didn't work in the notebook computers I check. I think it's bettero to e-mail them along with the error code so they can help with their application and improve them. But for the destop computer I think they should defenitely work.
