I just bought a brand new viewsonic p225fb w/ aperature grill. There were two new lines that appeared vertically on my screen next to the horizontal lines. I was going to take it back but then i read a post

I had a similar problem with my old iiyama AG monitor. What happens is that during shipment the grille can get disrupted. What you need to do (and what iiyama's site said) is to give a few good hard hits to the side of the monitor screen casing with the palm of your hand while stabilizing the monitor with your other hand.
I did this and it immediately made the problem go away and have not had problems since.

AND IT WORKED ON THE FIRST DARN TRY!!! neone who has this problem just do that^^ and ur absolutely golden!

Thats awsome, I mean people are always using the technical "smack" to fix their electronics, and now the manufacturer is recomending it
