Help needed with FireGL8800

Hi guys im new so be gentle.
Anyway im having real trouble with my Firegl 8800 it keeps on crashing my system, ive tried everything including Bios updates onto the card but still it keeps on playing up.
I managed to settle it when i installed some old drivers (3056) from ATI and i had to switch the AGP voltage to 1.6v and it seemed to be stable for months, now i dont know what possessed me but i installed the new drivers from ATI a few days ago and its all gone tits up again!

My system

350w PS
Gigabyte MB
AMD chipset
AMD XP 1500+
Two 256mb CL2 rams
ATI fireGL 8800 128mb (bios 1.17)
Creative Audigy platinum
WIFI Netgear 801.11g
Adaptec SCSI 360mb and four 18.1gb drives
Two ATA 30GB Maxtor drives
Two CD/DVD RW drives
One 100mb zip drive
Wintv Digital or something like that.

Im really getting peed off with this stupid Card but im a poor student and i cant afford to buy something similar. Hope some one can help.

Andrew

Ah, no ideas on that front then. Was just wondering if it was a VRX(P) because they have some known AGP issues.
