Mag3 housing sealing

Here within the next few weeks I will be switching my mag3 from submerged to inline. In the last few days I have seen quite a bit of stuff about sealing the housing due to leaking. What is exactly being talked about and does anyone have a how to on how to do this?

If you do a search there is a link around somewhere with a step by step tutorial. I just took off the front and caked on sealant where the o-ring is at.

I figured it was something similar to what you had done.

you dont have to cake anything on. i did that, but then i ended up pulling all of the silicone sealant i used off. it works fine without the sealant. i have heard that if it is leaking, you can fix it by simply using vasaline on the o-ring.
