adobe acrobat problems

when trying to PDF a word document using office XP we go to print, select acrobat distiller and then click print.

the blue bar at the bottom of word gets about 50% accross and then the save as box comes up. we select a location but then everything closes and an error (send or dont send) message comes up for word.

The distiller icont in the task bar has an ! on it and thats the end!

anyone know what could be causing this? ive tried re-installing both office and adobe acrobat, also checked the distiller setting but they look 'ok'.

does anyone have any ideas?

thanks
