Upgrading Toshiba Laptop Hard Drive

I am just hoping by chance someone on the board has a similar laptop or can give me either a yay or nay on this. I have a Satellite Pro M15-S405 (Centrino) and I am hoping to upgrade my hard drive to a k760. I haven't opened the computer up yet (I will when I get home for break) but I know that the hard drive is accessable and I have read it just has some kind of casing which I hope that I can get off the old drive and stick on the new one. Anyone have any experience with doing this kind of operation with a Toshiba laptop like mine or even of the same age? Is this something that is going to be able to work? Thanks!

I've done various laptops over the years. Unless the drive is a 1.8" reduced length HDD, once extracted, you an always change the caddy. Given that the model has a 14" screen, it's highly unlikely that it would use a 1.8" drive. Pull the HDD to verify first the dmensions on the standard disks are approx 2.5" x 4".
