A little help.....

Hey there. I have a fairly large knowledge of Hardware and computer internals and am even more competant and able in the software field. However I am new to overclocking, could someone please explain exactly what it is and how I can use it? No need to leave out the Jargon, I can understand all the usuals. Thanx
