Great Rotary Tool Deal

Just bought a Black & decker RTX Rotary tool with 30 accys and soft case from Home Depot (Howell, MI) for $19.99! They were normally $29.99 but it's a special holiday sale.

This is a 3 speed rotary tool (Black & Decker # RTX-6)-

I didn't see it the Home Depot website, just a walk in purchase.

Here's a link, though they list it as the RTX-4, I got a RTX-6

What do you mean Dremels are the bar? RTX beats them. Sure, Dremels get 5000rpm better than an RTX, but an RTX is almost twice as powerful. Check the amps if you don't believe me. Often, if a lot of torque was put on whatever bit I was using, my Dremel would grind to a halt. Not my RTX. It'll rip itself out of your hand before its bit stops turning.

If you're buying a Dremel, you're paying for the name. If you get an RTX, you won't be sorry.

......Rotary tools dont work on torque.... They use like, pure speed to cut, grind, etc... All IMO of course, but if I want torque, stick a bit in a drill.

"the Bar" - means the standard by which all others are judged. So you are saying the RTX sets a new standard?

Great!

Ever try to cut metal more than 1/16" thick with the cutting wheel? Go ahead and try it with your dremel and then tell me torque doesn't matter.

These tools DO work because of speed, rather than torque. But when you don't have enough torque, the tool will slow down!
