i had a wd 80 gig 8 mb and replaced it w a 36.7gig raptor i notice that the raptor is faster but not too much is this normal or i will see big improvements when i get 2 raptors in raid?

and when i go to my bios under harddrives none shows up is this normal since it is sata but if i run everest it recocnises as a sata raptor is installed.

was the western digital a sata drive? what is your setup?

no it was ide wd 80 gig 8 mb buffer special edition

you should notice a difference in game load times, boot times, program startup times and just general disk access. all this is due to the 10k rpm of the drive. a raid 0 of raptors would scream. plan on doin it myself soon.
