How much does cooling the N/B really matter? If one gets a successful (and MAX.) O/C to their liking, does cooling the N/B get one a better O/C on top of that?

The higher your FSB, the more likely better N/B cooling will help. If you are 250 or less on an Intel system, you probably don't need to worry.

it depends on your processor. If it can go really far, then NB cooling is a necessity. At 234 FSB however, I wouldnt worry about it. As batman said, at around 250 its a good idea to get some. I mean, it cant hurt now, but it might not help at all either. I doubt I could have gotten my 3.0C up to 270 FSB without the northpole NB cooler. If you were to get one though, get the swiftech mcx-159p, it is the best and quietest.
