go here www.guru3d.com download Coolbits, when installed itll be in the Nvidia control panel.

Set it to manual overclock then click on the 2d tab and change it to 3D and click on Auto detect, and whatever it detects @ is usually ganna be youre max overclock.

i personally prefereed RivaTunder for overclocking my NVIDIA based cards. i do it the old fashoin wya - just up the core - reboot - run 3dmark - no artifacts - up it some more - reboot - run again once i find artifacts - down clock, 1mhz @ a time, find the perfect spot - once done, do the same with the ram - may take time but personally i think it is better then all these "auto" detect apps. - i think you can use the Auto Detect apps to get a "rough" idea of how high your card can go, but not a for sure speed.

i agree, Rivatuner is a awesome app, and i to dislike the auto overclock apps. Although i don't have to reboot each time i change core/ram speed, or is a there a reason for this?

you only have to reboot if your games artifact/freezes.if that happens drop both clocks by 3mhz.otherwise keep upping clock/memory speeds 3-5mhz at a time.use doom3 rather than 3DMark01 to test for stability because 3DMark01 isnt an actual game.and finally if doom3 locks for 3seconds from time to time in game(not just when opening doors)than your memory clock is to high.i have seen this myself on my own card.
