IC7-G...How to recognise optical drives?

I have just got my IC7-G and cant figure out how to get the IDE chanel 2 to recognise the optical drives on it ... currentley they are set for cable select, and the devices are configured in enhanced mode so that i can install winXP.

please help, i cant figure out what to do... going to try and look at thier bios settings again and then set the jumpers as master slave as there are two of the things, but im not sure of it will work.

The cable select don't always seem to work on some drives. Try setting the jumpers to master and slave. Use the black connector on the end of the cable for master and the gray connector for slave. If you still have trouble, try just one drive on a cable to test it.
