9600XT Flashing

Did a quick search and didnt see anything so Im creating a post...

Is there anyway to flash a 9600XT to maybe a 9800XT since they both have the R360 core?

Umm 9600xt have a different core, not the R360, no way. It's impossible to get 8 pipelines from it because it doesn't have physically the extra 4.

Oops, my bad...I guess the core is RV360...

I wasnt sure if the 9600xt was like the 9500 pro where you could flash it to a 9700pro or like flashing a 9800 to 9800xt...

9500pro's dont flash to 9700pro's either, the 9500pro has 128bit ram as opposed to 256bit. There is a hardware difference.

Comeon, you know what he means, the 256-bit 9500np's were noted for turning into 9700's.
