Powering Up a PSU w/o Mobo

Hi,

I want to test a couple of old lights/temp lcd/fans from my old case and want to power it up using my spare psu, is it possible to power the PSU w/o hooking it up to the mobo?

I do not want to hook them to my current rig coz it might coz a short and affect my whole system...
