new build (fsb and ram????)

I am attempting to put together my system list before purchase. I am completely new to all of this, but have waited on the sidelines for the last 6 years. Now, at last, the time is right.

The list:

Leadtek 6600gt
Amd 64 3200+ winchester socket 939
Asus A8n-sli deluxe

for ram:
I am taking the current suggestions for the Patriot dual 2x512mb pc3200

My question is about the front bus on the mother board:
" 2000 MT/s, 1600MT/s "

and the board memory:
" DDR400/DDR333/DDR266 "

Will OC DDR400 be too much for the bus?

I need all the advice I can get on this, or other issues anyone may notice

Thanks,

Swift

I'm not sure I follow. Your CPU will be capable of running up to right around 2600-2700MHZ overclocked. Not a law just an estimate mind you. There's a list of results for these CPUs kicking around here somewhere. Anyway the way you'll likely be getting there is by raising the HTT(fsb if you like) to 260-270+. This means that unless you utilize a memory divider your memory will be running at DDR520 to 540. Now I don't know much about your memory choice, I assume it's another example of the Samsung TCCD everyone is hyped about lately, but seems to me expecting PC3200 to do DDR520+ with decent timings might be asking alot. I know folks have been getting good results from the G.skill PC42 and 4400 sticks.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the point of the question was... How does OC'ing the ram compare to Oc'ing the CPU; and will the mobo be a limiting factor.

All my research has simply led to more questions. I planned on building from the holiday sales of micro center and fry's, but now I am online and will probably buy online, if I can only nail down all the components.

I want a system that can be OC'ed and upgraded and OC'ed again and ....
