disabled device warning

when I start up XP Pro it gives me a disabled device warning ( i'm Admin ) and basically I tried everything I could think of to rid myself of it. I am a complete novice, however I can read and tried everything i found in google and here and other forums.

it happened when I installed Alcohol120% and i said install unsigned driver anyway.

if i goto device manager > DVD-CD ROM devices >_NEC 7500A > Driver > Driver details - I can see which one it is, I can delete it but it will come back

any ideas guys/gals?

try uninstalling alcohol 120% to see if it goes away

do you mean as in a test or as in permantly LOL don't forget NOVICE
