What Should i Buy?

Should i get a, BFG 6800 OC Or a XFX 6600GT and 512mb PC2700? would it be worth getting extra ram? or would i be better of getting the better card then more ram later?

well according to your sig you have 1gb already, so i wouldnt have thought you need more ram really, so id go with the 6800 and try and unlock all the pipes etc

i'd go with the 6800 also. About the PSU, you don't really know until you try. Hook up the 6800 and throw some stress at it. Watch the 12v rail as the GPU/CPU get loaded. If it drops bellow 11.75ish then it probably needs replacing. Some people get lucky, some not so lucky.

Yeah get the 6800 OC. I have one and i got it to unlock the other pipes and shaders w/ out any artifacts. And with alittle overclocking i got 10600 in 3dmark2k3.

Rivatuner 15.3

My pipes are bleh, but they work on a nice standard overclock. 430/830 from 350/700

or maybe invest the money in some DDR400 RAM. if you use intel, the performance of their chips is brought down quite a bit by RAM slower than DDR400.

if you're setting up an athlon 64, same deal. nothing short of PC3200.
but as far as the video card goes, stick with the 6800. the performance difference it has over the 6600 will be amazing.

Yep it unlocked to 16x1,6vp and at stock clocks i got almost 10000k in 3dmark2k3. Mine is also the version w/ 2 fans on the cooler.

Use the latest rivetuner just like buhommot said.
