good case to mod with

i'm thinking of getting a case and working on mod projects until i can get the money up for a new system to put in it. i've been looking into some cooler master and some thermaltake cases, but i'd like to know what kinds of experiences others have had with modding certain cases. what cases should i consider and which ones should i try to stay away from?

on my quest i've already found a few cases that look like they are built nice and solid, and also look like they have a lot of good options to mod. i'll update the post once i find a case and make a purchase, but for now i'll use this thread to keep me going in the right direction.

fire away!
