EP-8RDA3I 4 Pin ATX12V power supply

Anybody know what the 4 Pin ATX12V power cord does on this epox board. This board has both. The 20 pin and the 4 pin. All my PSUs have both plugs but, I have never had to use both, just the 20 pin. Never had a plug for the 4 pin on any of my boards. Do I need to use 4 pin power cord?

Yes you need to use it, newer Socket A boards require this extra 12V power for stabilty & overclocking - Its not just for P4's anymore.
